Image for Windows or IFW is a very efficient backup tool. Thus, it can restore damaged partitions and use the disk image as a backup. This allows you to restore your system with all programs and setting intact, similar to a recovery CD that came with your computer.
The disk image can be created from Windows, using the extension PHYLock free, or optionally from DOS. It also allows you to easily navigate between disk images and extract individual files. It should be noted that this method saves you restore the entire disk or partition.
