Toshiba Satellite C660: another 15.6-inch laptop at the right price / quality ratio

After Dell two weeks ago, today’s turn to launch a Toshiba laptop quality / attractive price, suited for everyday office use for little more than a netbook.

For the general public, the “Toshiba Satellite C660-220″ follows the same recipe as its American rival: the components of the previous generation in any case (3.6 cm thick and 2.54 kg) 15 format, 6 inches (definition WXGA). Its 6-cell battery would give a range of just over 5 h.


So he sticks to the Arrandale architecture, embodied in this case by an Intel Core i3-370M, including on the one hand a double-heart CPU Hyper-Threading 2.4 GHz and equipped with 3 MB cache, and also a GPU clocked HD Intel GMA 500 ​​to 667 MHz and providing hardware decoding of video.
This is supported by 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, the amount of time. Storage is provided by a hard drive at 5400 r / min with a comfortable capacity of 500 GB, a DVD burner and an SD card reader.
The connection is in exchange for relatively poor with only two USB 2.0 ports (no USB 3.0), a VGA output but no HDMI, and Ethernet and Wi-Fi N, but no Bluetooth. The screen is finally topped by a modest VGA webcam.
