Archos 70b Internet Tablet: a Tablet Honeycomb 200 euros

Now compete on the level of 300 euros, he has held since the summer of 2010, Archos announced today the “70b Archos Internet Tablet”, presented as “the first tablet Honeycomb less than 200 euros.”

The newcomer is as its name suggests an upgrade version of the Archos Internet Tablet 70 of the Gen 8.
Modest but welcome material evolution
TN capacitive touch screen with a diagonal 7 inches swapped to start small FWVGA definition (854 x 480 pixels) of its predecessor for an honorable WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels). The frequency of the ARM Cortex-A8 single heart has meanwhile been extended from 1 to 1.2 GHz and is supported by 512 MB of RAM.

No other provision is mentioned in the material, we should find 8 GB of internal memory, expandable via a microSDHC card (up to 32GB), rich connectivity including Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI output and USB host port, a pair of speakers, a microphone and a front VGA sensor.
There are also perfected the manufacturing quality of the Archos Gen 8, since the new model inherits its hull.
Revolution Software
But even more than on the material plane is on the software that “70b Archos Internet Tablet” benefits from the most important development.
It effectively abandons Android 2.2 Froyo, more or less well adapted to the ergonomics of a tablet, in favor of Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but especially the AppsLib, the shop in poor house applications, in favor of Android Market.
From a product designed exclusively for use multimedia, historic estate of Archos, we go to a really versatile product.
The “70b Archos Internet Tablet” will be launched in France in early January 2012 retail price of 200 euros, likely capacity of 8 GB model HDD 250 GB does not seem to have been renewed, and no update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich seems planned.
