The kiosk download Windows Phone Marketplace continues to grow and have now crossed the symbolic threshold of 50 000 applications.
The download platform Windows Phone Marketplace had crossed the 30,000 applications in August and the threshold of 40,000 in November. The growth rate appears to have accelerated since new 10,000 have been recorded since. Once again these figures are from the website All About Windows Phone, which provides a web interface for navigating applications simply made available to the mobile users.
The library has 265 new products every day against 165 last month. More than 17 000 applications have been added in the last three months including 8000 in the last 30 days. There are currently 13,002 publishers against 10,731 in November. French users would have a base of 39 235 applications against 30,346 last month. For comparison, the United States, the Windows Phone Marketplace provides 42,655 titles.
